Spain

Why

A country near and dear to my heart. Spain is all about the food for me (and I know more many others). But I guess we shouldn’t forget about the Sierra Nevadas in Andalusia (South/South East), the Camino de Santiago, the impossibly green Basque Country, or the Canary & Baelaric Islands!

Whether you’re visiting the Alhambra in the south, surfing in Palma, or strutting down Las Ramblas in Barcelona, you can never go wrong with a trip to Spain.

Where

Mainland Europe immadiately south of France, with the Mediterranean Sea to the East and the Atlantic & Portugal to the East. Hidden in the south there is the small state of Gibraltar (an English territory). It’s just the Gibraltar Straight between Spain and Morocco.

How

Flying is the quickest and most convenient to get around Spain. Barcelona has a great international airport hub which most flights will come in and out of.

Driving is possible too but unless you’re in the way north or way south, it’s not the most scenic. Trains is also possible, just not everywhere!
