Bolivia
Salt Flats, Andes, and Amazon Adventures
Bolivia is a land of extremes, where travelers can experience the vast Uyuni Salt Flats, the dizzying heights of La Paz, and the lush depths of the Amazon rainforest all in one trip. Its unique culture, stunning landscapes, and adventure opportunities—such as mountain biking down Death Road or visiting the silver mines of Potosí—make it an unforgettable destination. As one of the lesser-known travel destinations in South America, Bolivia offers an opportunity to enjoy less crowds and over-commercialized attractions.
It’s a great addition to Peru, Chile, or Argentina, providing a thrilling and diverse South American experience. Many travelers visit Bolivia after exploring Peru’s Incan heritage or continue into Chile for dramatic desert landscapes in the Atacama.
Why
Bolivia is an extremely underrated country— there is so much adventure to be had. Not only do you find five different kinds of climate zones, but each one is probably the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen.

Geographically, almost the entire country is in high elevation with a mix of mountain, rainforest, and high elevation deserts.
How
The only way to get around Bolivia is by local bus or hiring a driver, but more than likely you’ll stick to local bus since it’s the safest option.
