Hong Kong

A little London in Asia

Hong Kong has a dynamic mix of East and West. Visitors can enjoy a dazzling skyline, world-class shopping, and unbeatable Cantonese cuisine. This and much more make it a paradise for urban explorers and food lovers… especially food lovers.
From hiking on Lantau Island and taking in the Symphony of Lights show over Victoria Harbour to exploring historic temples and lively street markets, there’s something for everyone. It pairs well with China, Macau, and Taiwan, offering a fascinating look at Chinese-influenced regions with distinct cultural identities.

Why

As one of the world’s most well-connected international flight hubs, it’s nearly impossible to avoid Hong Kong when traveling around the East. Besides ease of access to neighboring countries, Hong Kong offers a fascinating mix of east and west vibes and has a vibrant city life. But we’ll be honest, the number one reason to visit HK is to dive into the food culture. Nearly all celebrity and Michelin starred chefs all have sister restaurants in the city, not to mention the other 15-20,000 eateries of all shapes and sizes to try.

Where

Hong Kong is located on the southern coast of China bordered by the South China Sea to the south, the Pearl River Delta to the west, and Shenzhen just to the north. It lies just southeast of Guangdong province and is across the water from Macau.

How

The local metro system is a perfect way to get around. It’s not a huge country so if you have to get somewhere the metro doesn’t reach, you can easily jump in one of many colorful taxis to get anywhere you need in an hour or less. When popping around the harbour, try the ferry. On Hong Kong Island, take the historic tram.
