Mexico

Ancient Ruins, Modern Culture, and Unforgettable Food

Mexico is one of the largest and vastly underrated travel destinations in the world. Often known for its incredible beaches and exciting food and culture (which without question are unbelievable), Mexico has more to offer than many ever discover. The capital, Mexico City, feels like an affordable New York with phenomenal food, bars, museums, and parks. Meanwhile, the country also has some of the oldest ruins in the world as well as unique indigenous culture and traditions. Whether you’re an outdoor explorer, anthropologist, or foodie, Mexico is the perfect destination for you. Mexicans also bring a warmth and energy to the country that keeps travelers coming back for more.
Although Mexico is certainly big enough to spend months traveling, it pairs well with Guatemala, Belize, or the U.S., making it a fantastic addition to a North or Central American journey.

Why

Mexico is most known for beach vacations, and for good reason. You can still find plenty of gorgeous undiscovered beach while you can also head to the areas more built up, opting for your next favorite resort. Besides the beaches though, discover Mexico’s Pueblo Mexicos (magic towns), its mountainous region, and the jaw dropping archaeological sites. Or even dive into Mexico City one of the world's greatest capitals. And I’m sure you didn’t forget, but in case you need a reminder: Mexican food is— ¿como se dice?— FIRE.

Where

Just south of the USA, of course! Guatemala is the only other country to border down south.

How

Depends on where you are! Flights are best if you’re going long distances, but hiring private drivers is sometimes the best option. Renting a car is definitely possible, but you’ll need to take extra safety precautions.
