Spain

A Unique Blend of History, Culture, and Relaxation

Every region of Spain has something unique and distinct to offer. You can enjoy fresh seafood on the beach or visit famous historical landmarks; it all depends on what you choose. Spain is rich in history and culture, making it a great place to dive into all aspects of European travel. Spain’s laid back culture and slower pace of life will give your vacation a relaxed feel you can’t find anywhere else.
It’s a great addition to Portugal, France, or Morocco, offering a diverse blend of European and North African influences. Many travelers enjoy combining Spain and Portugal for a full Iberian adventure or taking a ferry to Morocco for a taste of North Africa.

Why

A country near and dear to my heart. Spain is all about the food for me (and many others). But I guess we shouldn’t forget about the Sierra Nevadas in Andalusia (South/South East), the Camino de Santiago, the impossibly green Basque Country, or the Canary & Baelaric Islands! Whether you’re visiting the Alhambra in the south, surfing in Palma, or strutting down Las Ramblas in Barcelona, you can never go wrong with a trip to Spain.

Where

Mainland Europe immadiately south of France, with the Mediterranean Sea to the East and the Atlantic & Portugal to the East. Hidden in the south there is the small state of Gibraltar (an English territory). It’s just the Gibraltar Straight between Spain and Morocco.

How

Flying is the quickest and most convenient to get around Spain. Barcelona has a great international airport hub which most flights will come in and out of. Driving is possible too but unless you’re in the way north or way south, it’s not the most scenic. Trains is also possible, just not everywhere!
